“Life Begins At 65 (or earlier)”

Is that something you truly believe? That “Life Begins At 65”? If so, you’re in the right place.

You see, I find there are two types of retirees:

  • Those who get to retirement and decide it’s time to sleep in on a weekday, and spend a lot of time watching TV
  • Those who decide that NOW is the time to really start living – having adventures and ticking things off the bucket list you were too busy to do while you were working.

And I know there can be challenges, like health and financial issues. But I don’t believe those things should hold us back.

Are you dedicated to having the most amazing lifestyle in retirement, regardless of your health or financial situation?
If so, I’m dedicated to helping you get there!

To do that, I’ve created a program called

“Lifestyle In Retirement”.

Right now I invite you to try it out for just $1 for the next 30 days*

*After the first month the price reverts to just $49 per month.
You can cancel at any time.

* Did you know that 24% of people who retire at 65 die within 10 years? And that percentage increases significantly in people who are suffering in any of the following five critical areas:

  1. Financial security, including home ownership
  2. Physical and mental health, including nutrition, flexibility, cardiovascular health and dealing with anxiety
  3. Healthy relationships, especially their relationship with their partner or dealing with the loss of their partner
  4. Having a purpose, since this was often tied to their career
  5. Leaving a legacy, or their ability to contribute something to future generations.

* Struggles in any of these five key areas diminish your quality of life, and reduce your life expectancy.

The Lifestyle In Retirement program is designed to help you thrive in all five areas. My role is as your Retirement Coach…helping you navigate the many changes you need to adjust to in retirement.

Here are just some of the things you’ll learn in this program

If you neglect to do the things I’m teaching you here, statistically you will be dead less than 10 years after you retire

Sobering thought isn’t it?

Yet I meet a lot of retirees who suddenly find themselves restless and uncertain. After 40 years or more of working hard and having a routine, having “choices” of what to do with your time can seem overwhelming.

Unfortunately for many retirees, they never solve this problem, and instead start the slow decline that leads to poor health, dwindling finances, loneliness and misery.

But it absolutely doesn’t have to be that way!

I find it best to think of life after retirement as a New Career. It’s not something that will come naturally. You will need to learn new skills. You will make progress, but only if you work at it.

I guarantee you will find it helpful to have me as your personal Retirement Coach to help you on this journey. My goal with this program is to help you thrive in the five critical areas above.

If you want to squeeze every bit of life out of the rest of your life, I’ll show you how you can, regardless of how much money you have or the current state of your health.

Who is the Lifestyle In Retirement program designed to suit?

  • Those preparing for retirement or who have already retired
  • Retirees, both self-funded or on social security – or on a bit of both
  • People who are not ready to give up being productive just because they’re retired – retirees generally have a lifetime of skills that can be put to good use
  • People who want to leave a legacy for future generations. They know their life’s work is not yet complete
  • Retirees who want to live a happy, healthy and prosperous life for years to come.

So who am I and why should you listen to me?

My name is John Millar. I live with my wife of 53 years, Colleen, about halfway between Brisbane and Gold Coast in sunny Queensland, Australia. I’m 71 and Colleen is 70.

We have 8 children, 23 grand-children, and 2 great-grand-children. Such a blessing! But life was hard, as you’d imagine, with the cost of raising a large family.

With careful planning we have been able to self-fund our retirement. We do OK, but we do need to be careful of our spending.

Since travel is a major “bucket list” item for us, we’ve found many creative ways to travel in style on a shoestring budget. In the last few years we’ve been all over Australia, South East Asia, the US and Canada. We’ve driven from Brisbane to Cairns (a 1,678 km journey), done a driving holiday across the US, and taken an Alaskan cruise. We’re about to do the Indian Pacific train journey from Sydney to Perth.

So why do I tell you all of this? It’s not to impress you. It’s to tell you that we’ve done all of this with Colleen in a wheelchair, due to a health incident 25 years ago. But we don’t let that stop us! No matter where you are in your life anything is possible for you.

(Now while travel may not be your thing, it’s about having the choice to spend your time however you want.)

One of the highlights in the last few years was volunteering at the Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast in 2018. I was so proud of Colleen as she made her way (on her own and on her motorized scooter) to the stadium each day. We got to meet so many wonderful athletes and made life-long friends.

And of course we have hobbies. We still travel to speak and do mission work around Australia. As an ex-manual arts teacher I have my “man cave” with workbench and tools where I make gifts for friends and family, and do small repairs around the house.

Every week we go out to lunch and a movie. And I’m even becoming “a bit of a chef” thanks to the delivery service Hello Fresh.

Why do I tell you all this?

It’s to let you know that ANYONE can have the lifestyle you want in retirement…regardless of your age, your health, or your financial situation. Colleen and I have done it, and now I want to show you how to do the same.

Not only that, but I believe it’s not optional – it’s critical that you get out and start living with purpose. Because the alternative is a slow (or maybe not so slow!) decline to the grave.
